High Density Sensor Network Inside Bus Terminus to Monitor Air Quality for Hotspot Identification

Enclosed bus terminals have long posed a persistent challenge for managing community air quality. To address this issue, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, HKSAR Government have deployed Sapiens' advanced NAS AF300 air quality sensors to closely monitor pollutants such as NO, NO2, CO, CO2, and PM2.5 generated by traffic emissions within these terminal facilities. The high-density air quality monitoring network solutions creates real-time air pollution maps, enabling the identification of hotspots and the diagnosis of key contributors to air quality problems.

Mobile Sensor Network in Shanghai for City Roadway Air Pollution Management

Sapiens MASEN products help clients and collaborative parties gain a better understanding of roadway network segmentation and sensor data assignment. In this project, Sapiens MASEN series air monitoring sensors are installed on about 20 buses and 100 taxis in Shanghai, effectively covering 80% of the major urban transport routes. These sensors uploaded more than 20 million real-time monitoring data monthly, generating a map of urban road dust clouds.
